One of the annual traditions I have when it’s Christmas in Orlando is to visit Disney Springs and the Disney Resorts. There is something about seeing all the colorful decorations and people happily celebrating the time of year that makes up for the lack of Winter weather in Orlando.
I visited the newly completed Disney Springs area to see the “Christmas Tree Trail.” This annual display at Disney Springs celebrates the season with Christmas trees each decorated in a Disney theme (Film, Character or Attraction). Add to the experience some holiday music and “snoap” falling and you feel like celebrating!
I also took a trip to the Walt Disney World Resorts of The Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Polynesian and Boardwalk to see the festive decor.

I wouldn’t be the Orlando Guy if I never took you to visit the places that has made Orlando famous. So, today is a Disney Day!
The very best time, in my opinion, to visit Orlando is during the Holidays. From September Thru January, Orlando is in full-on holiday mode. Beginning with Halloween events at the theme parks all the way to New Year’s Eve – Orlando transforms into party city.
Today we’re going to Disney Springs to check out the Christmas Tree Trail, and then we’ll take a walk around some of the resorts and see how they are getting ready for the holidays.
Before we get started, I wanted to let you in on a little secret parking hack at Disney Springs. If you plan to park in the Orange garage which is closest to all the best restaurants and entertainment, Disney forces you to start at level three. But the escalator for Disney Springs is on level two. So always pull in to level three and head all the way down to the exit back down to level two where there is usually great parking right next to the entrance.
Cue the Holiday Music, I feel a celebration coming on!
Opened in October 2019, The Enchanted Rose replaced Mizner’s Lounge at the Grand Floridian. The new lounge features four unique gathering spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast. As you see here, above the main bar, you’ll take in the sights of a gorgeous chandelier inspired by Belle’s flowing golden ball gown.
