I will take you on an insider’s tour on this installment of The Orlando Guy.
There is an age-old proverb for those who are well travelled. It goes something like this, “You will know you have arrived when sharing the journey is as satisfying as the destination.”
Stunning is the word I would use to describe your entry into the world of the Four Seasons Orlando. This spectacular fireworks-inspired chandelier greets you in the lobby, designed in the Czech Republic and featuring more than 30,000 crystal components – this one-of-a-kind work of art foreshadows the kind of attention to detail that awaits you during your stay at The Four Seasons Resort in Orlando.

If your idea of a relaxing getaway is a few rounds of golf, prepare to be challenged by the 18-hole Tom Fazio–designed Tranquilo Golf Course, which is an exclusive course, only available to play for members of the Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club Orlando and resort guests.
This magnificent golf course, certified by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary program for golf by the National Audubon Society offers a 16-acre practice facility, golf instruction, a driving range, putting green and club rental.
The par 71, 6,901-yard Tranquilo Golf Course at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando should be on your must-play list.

There is so much to do and experience at The Four Seasons Resort in Orlando, let me run down a few areas I believe make your stay here feel like a world unto its own.
The Four Seasons Orlando may be decidedly upscale, but it has the heart of a child. Kids for All Seasons is the Four Seasons Resort’s complimentary camp for children ages 4 to 12. While you enjoy some time to yourself, your little ones will discover plenty of fun exploring, playing and participating in a variety of supervised activities.
Who needs to leave the resort to shop? The Four Seasons Orlando has all you need at Wardrobe and Fable. The Wardrobe Boutique is your place for all the latest fashions you might need for a day at the pool or an intimate dinner. Think of Wardrobe as your personal department store with clothing, accessories, shoes, home goods, swimwear and jewelry.
Over at Fable, you will find all the sundries, family fun items and keepsakes you will want to acquire to remember your stay at the Four Seasons Orlando.
If you have a mind for business, The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is the perfect place for your next convention or business meeting – with outstanding facilities hosting both the largest gatherings and most exclusive of retreats.
And, of course, The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is the dream of choice for any bride and groom.
Dining at The Four Seasons Orlando is a culinary journey one must take! There are a variety of options: like casual fare at Lickety Split – the Resorts’ coffee and dessert shop with quick service options for guests on the go!
Ravello serves up modern Italian dishes and serves as the premiere breakfast location with Disney Characters making appearances on select days.
During my stay at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando – I had to try the signature restaurant Capa – the Spanish steakhouse and lounge at the top of the Resort.
Capa has an elegant but relaxed atmosphere with two outdoor terraces and an elegant dining room. Named among the Best 100 Wine Restaurants in the US by Wine Enthusiast magazine – the Spanish influenced cuisine is not to be missed. The open kitchen and wood fired grill beckons you try something adventurous.
Dining at Capa is as much about the experience as it is about the cuisine with spectacular views of the surrounding Walt Disney World Resort.
Capa is also renowned for its cocktail program that emphasizes both regional specialties and global classics.
For my weekend stay, I opted for Pan Con Tomate, Maiz made with Corn, Polenta, Goat Cheese and Sherry Vinegar, melt-in-your mouth Miyazaki Wagyu Beef and for dessert – Fuego which is a 66% Caraibe Chocolate Lava Cake with a warm Cajeta Center served aside Banana Ice Cream.
The Four Seasons Orlando is famous worldwide for having one the most luxurious and lush pool areas – exclusively limited to guests staying at the resort. You have to experience this astonishing oasis in-person to truly capture its beauty and serenity.
The five-acre water park includes Explorer Island – splash zones, interactive fountains, water slides and lazy river winding around a “ruined” mansion.
Not far away from your lounge chair, PB&G serves up freshly prepared salads and flavorful dishes served hot off the grill. And of course, your favorite cold beverages.
An adults-only pool affords a welcome respite for those traveling without children or for those adults who choose to relax and enjoy the contentment of their surroundings at the Four Seasons Resort in Orlando.
As always, I have saved the best for last. The Four Seasons Resort has 443 guest rooms, including 68 suites which have just undergone enhancements with all new carpeting and furnishings.
Amenities include the legendary Four Seasons beds, private bar, plush linens, cozy bathrobes, on-demand red and white wine valet and furnished balconies.
If your budget allows, you can do no better for an ultra-luxurious Orlando vacation than a stay in the Four Seasons Resort Orlando Royal Suite.
No matter which room you choose, or what amenities you indulge in, sharing time away with family and friends at the Four Seasons Orlando is recognition that you have arrived.
