If you are looking for a luxurious vacation destination, I’ll bet Orlando is not at the top of your list. It should be.
While Orlando is best known as the home for our world-famous theme-parks and attractions. It is also the home of some of the most luxurious hotels and resorts in North America.
This series of episodes of The Orlando Guy on Luxury Orlando Travel is designed to give you a detailed look at some of places you should be considering for your next lavish getaway.
This weekend we are staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort in the Presidential Suite. A sister to the Waldorf Astoria Orlando (click the link above to watch my previous review of that property), the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort who’s rooms have been completely redesigned, offers exemplary service in an modern environment that that is uniquely tailored to those who appreciate smart elegance and sophistication. The words I would use are “stylish chic.”
We’ll take a closer look at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort for Luxury Orlando Travel, coming up next.
The moment you walk into the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort, the stylish lobby evokes a time when sophisticated travelers would congregate and mingle with a nod to playful designs that grant you permission to behave freely.
Even though the Hilton Bonnet Creek sits adjacent to Walt Disney World and enjoys a relationship as an Official Walt Disney World Resort, that should not distract you from enjoying all the modern amenities offered from a luxury resort that is situated on a peaceful 482-acre nature preserve.
One of the standout amenities, is a Rees Jones designed golf course that was chosen by Golf Magazine as one of the top golf courses you can play. The course boasts a well-appointed pro shop, practice range, putting green and individual private lessons led by one of Central Florida’s top golf instructors.
When the Florida heat gets to you, grab a drink and jump right in to the resorts’ 3-acre lazy river and pool with private cabanas. Amid a lush and subtropical environment, lounge next to the zero-entry, lagoon-style pool, named #1 by TripAdvisor’s Top 10 Fantastic Pools.
Enjoy your favorite libation at Beech, the resorts’ pool-side bar and grill – known for its decidedly upbeat atmosphere with free-flowing mojitos and tropically inspired beverages – my favorite being the Caribbean Colada!
The resort complex boasts nearly 12 restaurants and lounges each with its own vibrant personality, inviting décor and distinctive menu.
During my stay, I decided to dine at La Luce, Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek’s signature restaurant created by famed Napa Valley chef and restaurateur Donna Scala.
One of this restaurant’s unique features, is the ever-changing chalk art drawings that adorn the dining areas. One drawing that is permanent shows the late chef’s vineyard along with her prized Vespa and floral favorite Sunflowers.
In the private dining room is a tribute to one of Donna Scala’s favorite recipes.
I could not resist trying one of the restaurant’s famous hand fired, thin crust pizzas. My favorite – made with hot Italian sausage.
Some of Hilton Bonnet Creeks’ other standout amenities include a fully outfitted fitness center, complete with Peloton bikes.
And world-class convention and banquet facilities that serve as a favorite backdrop for local Orlando weddings.
Since this is an episode about luxury Orlando travel, I am sure you are interested in the accommodations. All of Hilton Bonnet Creeks’ 1,009 elegant guest rooms have been fully redesigned with modern features.
My luxury stay at Hilton Bonnet Creek was in one of the resorts two plush and spacious Presidential Suites. Here is an extended look at the room which boasts 2,870 square feet of living space.
This massive suite is designed into many distinct areas: meeting, causal, living, a private alcove, private bedroom quarters with a massive en-suite bathroom along with a second facility next to the suite entrance.
Views at the top are spectacular and include the private reserve, golf course and pool area, along with Walt Disney World parks visible in the distance.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this extended look at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek – one of Orlando’s finest luxury resorts. Book your getaway today and come and experience the best of what Central Florida has to offer. See you next time.
