19 Minutes north of Downtown in the suburb of Lake Mary is a strip center where you will find Grato’s Italian Grille. Grato’s is known for their pizza, garlic knots and salads.
Great pizza requires three things, great dough, great sauce and great cheese. Grato’s pizza dough and sauce are made in-house daily with their sauce having the right flavor of tomato, garlic and herbs – slow cooked to remove acidity – leaving nothing but flavor. This is New York style pizza so the dough is crisp with great chew and holds up to the toppings. I order mine extra crispy with Pepperoni, Italian sausage, onions, olives and jalapeno peppers. It’s goody good-good.
