Global Stage Entertainment and the International Ballet Stars are bringing a spectacular world-premiere production of Alice in Wonderland by Romero Britto to the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne, Florida, on Wednesday, March 3, 2027. This bold reimagining of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale blends world-class classical ballet with vibrant pop-art visuals, Broadway-style theatrical design, and immersive storytelling that captivates audiences of all ages.
A Colorful New Vision of a Beloved Classic
Alice in Wonderland by Romero Britto transforms the familiar story through the unmistakable artistic lens of world-renowned pop artist Romero Britto. Breathtaking sets and costumes created in collaboration with Britto explode with color, fantasy, and theatrical charm. Audiences follow Alice down the rabbit hole into a surreal wonderland filled with a charming Mad Hatter, a delightfully parodic Queen of Hearts, and extraordinary characters brought to life by an international cast of ballet stars.
The production pushes the boundaries of classical ballet, uniting the elegance and power of dancers representing leading traditions from Spain, Brazil, Poland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Italy, Austria, Georgia, Iceland, Japan, Moldova, Romania, Belarus, Armenia, Mongolia, Albania, and more. The result is a one-of-a-kind live entertainment experience that amazes, surprises, and transports viewers into a world unlike anything previously seen on stage—perfect for children and adults alike.
