A singer/songwriter who blends contemporary indie folk and rock with a strong Christian message, Chris Renzema makes music that’s atmospheric and ethereal. His plaintive vocals and unflinchingly personal lyrics earned him a wide fan base and, following 2018’s self-released I’ll Be the Branches, he joined the roster of prominent CCM label Centricity. He made his label debut with 2020’s Let the Ground Rest followed a year later by the introspective and passionate Get Out of the Way of Your Own Heart. A series of 2023 singles like “Faith!?” and “God and Prozac” examined Renzema’s evolving relationship with faith.
