A Speakeasy Christmas Carol Orlando 2026: Roaring ’20s Dinner Show with Gangsters & Ghosts
This December, Orlando gets a bold new holiday tradition: A Speakeasy Christmas Carol. Presented by The Speakeasy Murder & Other Acts of Prohibition, this family-friendly production reimagines Charles Dickens’ classic inside a 1920s speakeasy, complete with gangsters, ghosts, Christmas carols, live entertainment, and a holiday-themed dinner.
Performances run on select dates December 2–30, 2026, at Teatro Martini (6400 Carrier Drive, Suite M, Orlando, FL 32819), near International Drive. Tickets are $84.14 for adults (18+) and $51.12 for junior detectives.
You know the story. You know the ghosts. But you don’t know how this one ends.
What Is A Speakeasy Christmas Carol?
Set on Christmas Eve in 1924 at The 38 — New York City’s hottest speakeasy — the show follows Johnnie “Two Hat” Stokes, a young, ambitious mob boss with power, enemies, and almost no Christmas spirit. When his dearly departed former partner returns with a warning, three unforgettable Christmas spirits appear. Johnnie must confront his past, present, and future — because in the world of organized crime, redemption might mean more than saving his soul. It might just save his life.
Beloved Dickens characters and themes are reimagined through the Speakeasy’s established world of flappers, bootleggers, jazz, and larger-than-life personalities. The result is an immersive holiday dinner show that blends Christmas nostalgia with Roaring Twenties energy.
Creator and producer Erik Hastings says: “Whether you’re already a fan of The Speakeasy or stepping through our doors for the very first time, we happily invite guests to celebrate the holidays with us in true 1920s style. What makes this production special is that we aren’t simply retelling the classic story in a different setting. We’re bringing it into our established theatrical world… By creating a family-friendly production, we’re welcoming children, grandparents and families… We hope A Speakeasy Christmas Carol becomes a new holiday tradition for locals and visitors celebrating the season in Central Florida.”
Key Differences from the Regular Speakeasy Murder Mystery
The signature interactive murder mystery continues throughout December and is rated PG-13. A Speakeasy Christmas Carol is a different theatrical adventure — more focused on storytelling, suspense, twists, carols, and festive surprises rather than solving a crime. It is designed to be family-friendly (the official site lists ages 12 and up).
Hastings adds: “While murder is certainly a big part of our regular production, it isn’t the only thing that defines The Speakeasy… A Speakeasy Christmas Carol allows us to explore a different genre while staying true to the world we’ve created. We’re not replacing the murder mystery. We’re expanding the world of The Speakeasy.”
